Yoga and Meditation with Surata
These retreats with Surata are for those who already have experience of meditating within the Triratna Buddhist Community and regularly practice yoga.
Surata brings to his teaching 30 years experience of both yoga and Buddhism. Although having originally trained in India with Mr. Iyengar, he now draws inspiration from the teaching of Vanda Scaravelli.
This subtle approach uses gravity and the breath to help unravel our habitual ‘knots’. The body-mind is allowed to unfold and expand as a joyful living process without any unnecessary forcing. This, coupled with mindfulness, begins to progressively ‘awaken’ the spine and body.
