All these retreats are suitable for those who have already learnt meditation and are familiar with Buddhist devotional practice and ritual, (Puja), within the context of the Triratna Buddhist Community.
You will need to have been regularly meditating for at least one year within the Triratna Buddhist Community and regularly attend a Triratna centre or group. You must also be comfortable with extended periods of sitting meditation and silence.

New Year Meditation Retreat 2011
With Nagasiddhi, Viryapuspa & SamudraghosaDecember 27, 2011 - January 2, 2012 | £270/240 (Six nights, Tuesday to Monday)
“Time is like an ever-moving spiral. The future continually comes towards us but it meets us with our past at each moment of the immediate present. Each time this process happens, we are confronted with mysterious new levels of our being. We must meet the unknown future by bringing to bear everything that has been shaped in us by the past” - Heidegger
At this significant juncture of the calendar we will come together on this retreat to mark the end of the old and the beginning of a new year. Through the retreat we will reflect on what has brought us to this present moment, inhabit that very moment and envision a possible future in accord with our deepest values. With meditation, reflection, poetry, ritual and periods of silence.
