Rivendell Solitary Retreat Chalet

The Chalet is in it’s own secluded part of the Rivendell grounds with separate access. Twice weekly we deliver food and supplies for you to prepare. The chalet has recently been refurbished and comes equipped with heating, a gas cooker, silent fridge, flush toilet and electric shower. There is also a shrine, meditation mats and cushions. Lettings run from Friday to Friday.

Cost: £165/135. per week, including basic food.

Please Note:

Doing a solitary retreat can be a strong experience, so it’s important that you have experience of other retreats and meditation before undertaking one. (It’s best to discuss if it’s the best time for you to do a solitary retreat with your spiritual friends and mentors).

Therefore, the Rivendell solitary chalet is only available for booking by those who already have experience of Friends of the Western Buddhist Order meditation and who have previously been on a FWBO retreat. Saying that, Rivendell also provides an ideal safe environment for a first solitary retreat.
