Suitable for those new to meditation as taught within the Triratna Buddhist Community.

Tai Chi and Meditation Long weekend

Tai Chi is an ‘internal’ martial art that grounds our awareness and relaxation in the body. Tai Chi does require energy and concentration in our movement but combines this with an active intention to relax habitual physical tensions – ‘the soft overcoming the hard’. We will explore the essential principles of benefit for all styles of Tai Chi through traditional training methods in awareness and loosening exercises, Tai Chi form, (37 Step Yang Short Form), and partner work. Suitable for those new to and experienced in Tai Chi or meditation.
